Hi! 👋1
My name is Manu Tevlor, and I am the guy behind this website.
The title says “About TrixiCon”, not “About Manu”, though, so I should probably elaborate more on TrixiCon, rather than myself.
What is TrixiCon?
TrixiCon is a blog.
What does “TrixiCon” mean?
TrixiCon is a bicapitalized portmanteau, of Tri and xiCon.
What’s that, you say? I’m being stupid?
Why, thank you for noticing. Most wouldn’t have.
Anyways, Trixi is the name of the main character of the book I am writing.
Con stands for many things. Here is a list, in the order me and my brother sent them to each other:
- Conversative
- Conversation
- Conservative
- Convention4
- Conventional
- Convenient
- Convoluted
- Convrotresial5
- Controversial6
- Conniving
- Conman
- Convict
- Contortion
- Containment cell
- Concert?7
- Consult
- Condemn
- Condescending
- Did you even notice the convrotresial
- No I’m too tired
Why do you use so many footnotes?
Because they’re an easy and awesome way of adding random nonsense without derailing the topic at hand.8
You use too many footnotes.
You know you don’t have to open them, right?
I can’t think of anything else.
So that’s it, then. Enjoy!
I have mixed feelings about
emojisemoticons in general.
They are useful tools to convey expression in text, which is usually pretty difficult unless you’re an accomplished writer. On the other hand, they get annoying, and have no place in official documents. Like this one.
But I put one anyways, just to make it less boring than a simple “Hi!”, without adding any more effort.
Or maybe I did it to spark this conversation?
Or maybe, let’s go even deeper –Yes it’s an em dash I did it so you can get a feel for what I’m like, in an interesting and thought provoking way!
Nah, probably not.
😉↩Trivia: Years ago I made a quick comic called Soapbox Rage, and I was considering that for the name of this site.↩
Everyone who’s ever written ads, please groan all together.↩
Both meanings.↩
[sic] My brain stuttered and I thought we were listing words that started with ‘conv’, so I wrote it like this deliberately. I tend to do that.
Both the brain farts, and the anagrams.
I made my very first anagram in elementary: “hopsital”.
It didn’t work very well for the secret code my friends were trying to make.↩We didn’t actually send this, but it’s for the pedants out there, including myself.↩
[sic]↩
It took me way too long to find a decent WordPress footnotes plugin. Thank you WP-Bigfoot by Adam Martinez!↩
