I’ve always wanted to be an author.
To be frank, though, an author doesn’t make a ton of money (unless you get really big, and/or make your work into a franchise). So I figured, a similar line that I could get into, to help support myself, would be to make a blog.
The blogs I enjoyed (and still do enjoy!) the most are XKCD, Hyperbole and a Half, and Wait But Why.

If you want, you can think of my blog as a blend between XKCD and WBW1. Some quick comics, some long form posts, and everything in between. But WBW is the one I most copied got inspired by2.

When I started this blog, I also made social media accounts. I don’t care for social media, and don’t actually have any personal accounts, but I needed it to be able to better promote my content, and to engage with readers.
When you make a Twitter account, it requires you to follow at least one person. Having nothing specific to choose3, I chose Elon Musk. Cool guy, cool cars, and a pretty funny guy on Twitter. So the only “updates” I get on Twitter, are from him.
